Carolina Galvão, Natal - Brazil  (1984)

I am a ceramic artist from the Northeast of Brazil, a place where sea and desert coexist and shape both the landscape and the people. I am a former nutritionist and discovered ceramics in 2016. Since then, I have dedicated myself to the craft, experimenting with different techniques and gradually developing my own voice and style.

Through clay, I explore themes of memory, transformation and belonging, developing pieces that feel meaningful and timeless. I am interested in the relationship between nature and the hand, and in the slow, tactile process of shaping something meant to last.

Over the past 10 years, I have lived in Buenos Aires and Dubai, and travelled across Africa, Southeast Asia, Europe and the Middle East. These experiences and references have naturally found their way into my work, alongside the landscapes and culture of where I come from.

In 2025, I founded Terranova Studio, a space for my visual practice and research, where I develop authorial and sculptural work, as well as functional and commercial pieces.

This space is a collection of some of my work, and I am always open to collaborations, commissions and exhibitions.
