Rastros

Rastros explores the relationship between clay, place, and fire. Rooted in an ongoing research into alternative kilns and firing methods, the series brings

together commercial clay and wild clay from my hometown in Brazil. Through the firing process, heat, ash, smoke, atmosphere, and time leave their own marks on the surface, turning each piece into a record of its making.

Veredas

Veredas is a journey into the essence of the land, a quiet path where silence, resistance, and creation intersect. Rooted in the landscapes of Northeastern Brazil’s desert, the sertão,  the collection reflects the restrained force of life that persists in arid ground. Each vessel is shaped by hand through the slow encounter of clay, time, and fire. Dark, elongated silhouettes emerge like shadows stretched across the horizon, echoing wind and movement, like roots pressing deep beneath dry soil. Veredas speaks of passage and permanence, and of the fragile balance between vulnerability and endurance.

Falesias

Born between cliffs and drylands, Falésias emerges from the landscapes of Brazil’s Northeastern, where land meets sea and nature is shaped by wind, sun, and time. The collection draws from the vivid, layered colors of the cliffs of my homeland.
